Two KEDGE Wine School graduates have created a box for food lovers
Sarah Doursat and Jules Joussely, both graduates of the MSc Wine & Spirits Management, have launched Glouton Trotteur, a 100% Made in France box that, each month, offers French food and drink and lets your taste buds travel!
A meeting, a project
Sarah Doursat and Jules Joussely met in the classrooms of KEDGE and they’ve never left each other’s side. As students in KEDGE’s Wine & Spirits Management Master programme , they participated in the "4L trophy" humanitarian rally, then went to Singapore to do their internships, followed by a year in New York. When they returned to France, Jules took over the management of a restaurant and Sarah became a sales representative for a wine estate. But they wanted to create a business together, and the pandemic convinced them to create something online. After a lot of work, they created "Glouton Trotteur " in August 2020 to promote the beautiful regions of France.
What is Glouton Trotteur?
Glouton Trotteur is a monthly subscription box that contains all the ingredients you need to prepare a dish at home, with recipes created by chefs, as well as the right wine to accompany it. It’s the first culinary box to offer its consumers regional dishes while involving them in their preparation. Each box contains a recipe, the products from the regional producers needed to make the dish, a bottle of wine from the region go with, and a QR code to see the video of the chef making it.
To create the dishes, Sarah and Jules have teamed up with a couple of star chefs, Clément and Flora. Running the Choko Ona restaurant in Espelette, in the Basque Country, Clément and Flora received the Gault et Millau award when they opened in April 2019, and then received a Michelin star in January 2020.
To support job creation and the local economy, all products are seasonal, from quality producers who respect the environment, are labelled (AOP, AOC, IGP...) and are organic or from sustainable agriculture. Glouton uses only 100% recyclable eco-friendly packaging.
What did KEDGE bring to them?
Without a doubt, the desire to become entrepreneurs and to innovate. What’s more, a beautiful baby in a few weeks!
