Class of 1984: 40 years on, a reunion full of memories...
Thomas Bonnaud, a KEDGE graduate, discusses his experience as a mentor
1999 KEDGE graduate, Thomas Bonnaud, assists students in defining their career goals by being a mentor on MyJobGlasses
You get involved with your school by being a MyJobGlasses mentor. Why have you decided to help students?
I’m immensely grateful to those who believed in me, helped me, and gave me the chance to create and develop business subsidiaries abroad. They guided me and inspired me. I want to provide this same chance to students and young professionals, especially during these difficult times when they need support and hope.
In your opinion, how and why are this tool and mentoring essential to a career?
I believe in the enormous potential of the next generation of young professionals. They are authentic, responsible, and ethical. I believe in the power of mentoring to encourage them to associate with those already working in companies and associations. I also believe that, together, we can create a better world to work in. Finally, I believe in solidarity, generosity, and wisdom to improve well-being at work and in life in general.
MyJobGlasses has successfully created an environment that is conducive to everyone’s growth, not only young people but also professionals who find meaning in passing on their experience. MyJobGlasses combines intelligence, a modern way of thinking, and wisdom. Its creative force and power allow young people to begin their working lives with confidence while strengthening their network. The humanity that the company emits is incredible, the tool is magical, and I find the student-professional harmony fascinating.
What would you tell graduates to encourage them to also become a mentor?
Inspire the managers, engineers, and professors of tomorrow so that they will become the professionals that you would have liked to have met when you were starting out. Don’t forget, it’s this generation that will be guiding that of your children.
Like Thomas, become a mentor on MyJobGlasses.
Not yet convinced? Come and meet Thomas, as well as Laurence, Manon, Lou-Eve, Emilie on 8 April to learn more about the platform and becoming a mentor.
