Portrait: A KEDGE Alumnus at the head of Lacoste
1993 KEDGE Graduate, Jean-Louis Delamarre is currently CEO, EMEA Markets, and CEO, Global Travel Retail at Lacoste
Jean-Louis Delamarre received his Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from KEDGE Business School in 1993.
With more than 25 years of experience, this KEDGE alumnus has numerous international skills in the field of sales, marketing, and management of large consumer good and fashion industries.
His career began in 1995 when he joined the well-known group Procter & Gamble (P&G). He stayed with them for more than 19 years. (P&G is the largest company of consumer goods in the world and is the umbrella company of iconic and reputable brands such as Ariel, Pampers, Always, Braun, Gillette, Head & Shoulders, and Oral B). He started off with P&G in Paris, in Customer Business Development and Category Management, and kept that post for five years. In 2000, he became the Associate Sales Director for Northwest Africa based in Casablanca, and five years later became Sales Director Gillette EMEA (Europe-Middle East & Africa) based in Geneva. In that position, he fulfilled several roles such as the management of terms of sale, integration of distributers, and the growth of sales revenues. Two years later, in Shanghai, Jean-Louis Delamarre became Associate Sales Director for Carrefour Asia.
From 2010 to 2013, Jean-Louis Delamarre was Sales Director China and saw a turnover of 2.6 billion dollars. There he had numerous responsibilities. Finally, from July 2012 to April 2014, he also held the position of Global Commercial Leader in Singapore, where he was in charge of global markets and strategy planning of baby care products.
In April 2014, Jean-Louis Delamarre joined Lacoste in Hong-Kong as CEO Asia-Pacific. There, he was responsible for setting up and implementing brand marketing in the retail sales sector, increasing the online presence, and strengthening the attractiveness of the Lacoste brand in Asia. He also created a new business unit (CEO Global Travel Retail) to manage the strategic concept of brand development.
After having lived nearly 20 years abroad, Jean-Louis Delamarre returned to France in 2017 where he resumed his position as CEO EMEA markets. He also had the additional responsibility of the business Aéroport Mondial.
