Class of 1984: 40 years on, a reunion full of memories...
La Carte Postale, a business that helps companies and parents to better welcome parenthood, was founded by KEDGE graduate Marie Ged.
After working for consulting firms for eight years, Marie Ged, a graduate of KEDGE's Grande Ecole Programme, has started her own business to help companies better support employees when they become parents.
While attending the Grande Ecole Programme at Kedge, Marie opted to take courses that focused on helping people. She rounded off her education with her involvement in the Unis-Terre association, where she worked on the READS and Christmas Tree projects.
She did her final year in a work-study programme at the ENGIE Group (where she had already done an internship). After being part of an international business development team, she was recruited by the group’s internal consulting team, ENGIE Consulting. For several years she performed on consulting assignments with the executive management and the human resources department, which made her aware that parenthood is a key concern for companies and their employees. She remains involved in the ENGIE youth network, the YPn, to lead the Group's discussions on transformation.
The origins of the company
2018 and 2020, Marie trained to become a professional coach. She also experienced parenthood first-hand and moved back to her native Provence.
In 2020, she launched La Carte Postale, a business that helps both companies and parents better welcome parenthood.
For companies, the issue of parenthood is inevitable.
The current health crisis has been a strong reminder of this. We can see that employees receive little support, managers receive little training, and HR teams are under pressure.
A better approach to parenthood can address issues of attraction, retention, and loyalty of talent, professional equality and, in particular, compliance with legal obligations, the effectiveness of management, well-being at work, and work/life balance.
La Carte Postale supports managers in managing departures from and returns to work due to parenthood, employees who are parents and who want to return to work with peace of mind, as well as HR teams in the areas of gender equality and quality of life at work, not forgetting the positive impact on the employer brand.
For example, at ENGIE, she worked with a team of 80 people to set up a parenthood course that combined awareness-raising and training for managers, individual coaching for employees and parent-workers, and the organisation of parenthood and company
One isn’t born a parent, one becomes one!
The postcard helps parents and parents-to-be to find their own parenting style, the one that suits them, that fits them. Because parenthood is unique. to the individual Parental support lets them experience this experience with ease and strengthens the bond that unites them.
To do this, we teach them skills and methods to better discover the type of parent they want to be. Their reflections are also nourished by the experiences of other parents.
If you are looking for a great gift to give to future parents, La Carte Postale is holding personalised, small group coaching courses, starting in January.
