KEDGE is in the top 10 best Business Schools to learn to be an entrepreneur
In the Forbes France ranking that was just published, KEDGE is among the best Business Schools "to learn to be an entrepreneur".
The quarterly magazine saluted the "strong entrepreneurial momentum" born from the interconnection that KEDGE creates among the actors in its territories. Thanks to its expertise in innovation and entrepreneurship, KEDGE, "dominates its peers in terms of number of companies created, with 393 companies created between 2015 and 2017."
According to José Milano, General Director of KEDGE, "our presence in the Forbes ranking demonstrates the importance of entrepreneurship as one of the main axes of our teachings and expertise. We do everything we can to create the right conditions to ensure the success of our entrepreneurs, students, and alumni, by building on our dynamic territories."
To carry out its ranking, Forbes interviewed the 40 grandes écoles with Master's programmes on quantitative criteria - such as the number of companies created by former students, the money they raised, the pedagogical importance of entrepreneurship in the cursus - as well as qualitative criteria, looking at the background of the entrepreneurs that have graduated from the school. As such, Forbes selected the 10 best business schools following its study.
In the description of KEDGE, entitled "Celebrating innovation and entrepreneurial sprit", Forbes highlights "the incentive to develop projects and prioritise concrete projects and deliverables is at the heart of the school's pedagogy. Five different paths prepare students to create a company, including the "Innovation & Entrpreneurship" programme, that takes place over two and a half years. During the programme, students benefit from privileged access to the company accelerator, that brings together students, alumni, companies, and investors to facilitate the birth of start-ups."
To support this entrepreneurial spirit, KEDGE has developed specific pedagogical tools, strengthened its support for projects carries out by students and alumni, and favours an environment that facilitates innovation.
The KEDGE Marseille campus, as such, now has a 500m² dedicated to business creation, the Daniel et Nina Carasso KEDGE Accelerator, which makes available to students and alumni, three support mechanisms: an incubator, an accelerator, and an innovation lab. And the Bordeaux and Paris campuses will also soon be equipped with their own accelerators, which will be open to anyone that has a project in the KEDGE Community.
In addition, KEDGE has developed expertise in research in innovation and entrepreneurship that shapes its teaching programmes and its relationships with the network of professionals.
