KEDGE and LePont have created a Data Analyst training programme in New Aquitaine to encourage the inclusion of women in Tech
As an original, sustainable, and inclusive school, KEDGE has partnered with LePont, the leader in Data and Artificial Intelligence education, to offer twelve women job seekers in the New Aquitaine region the opportunity to become data analysts.
The eponymic boot camp course lasts three months, during which trainees will learn how to collect, use, and optimise data in order to be more productive and have a sustainable impact on their own progress, as well as being able to contribute to the success of their future employers.
Retraining women in Data and Artificial Intelligence
The Data Analyst training course was developed by LePont in partnership with Employment Centre and Opco Atlas to provide training in skills that have become vital for companies. This programme is targeted at women seeking employment in the New Aquitaine region. From 7 September until 10 December 2021, they will receive 400 hours of training in Data and Artificial Intelligence.
This course, which is accredited by the University of Berkeley, will give participants the tools they need to enter the workforce more easily, particularly in the tech sector where the proportion of women is hardly increasing. Women currently account for only 27.5% of the workforce in the digital sector, and fewer than 5% of women hold positions in artificial intelligence.
A career-oriented course to facilitate a return to employment as soon as the course is completed
The boot camp consists of theoretical knowledge, practical exercises, and feedback. The development of these skills, not just technical skills (hard) but also behavioural skills (soft), in an approach that is 100% business-oriented, will allow learners to foresee new career prospects by including a data dimension in their future jobs, regardless of the position held or the sector of activity.
Over the next three months, these women will be able to interact with and learn from data experts and decision-makers from the business world, practice their skills through practical case studies, receive coaching to facilitate their return to work and, at the end of their training, receive a double certification from LePont and the University of California at Berkeley (via its Institute for Business Innovation), to enhance their employability
KEDGE, which is very committed to the issues of inclusiveness and equal opportunities, is the preferred partner of this New Aquitaine initiative and will host the launching of the programme. The school will be called upon to present at courses to discuss the subject with students.
"LePont's training programme is completely in line with the school's values and strategic approach - placing inclusiveness and equal opportunities at the very core of our institution and continuing to enhance our expertise and training offerings on the subjects of data, innovation, and entrepreneurship," said Anil Benard-Dende, Deputy Managing Director of KEDGE.
This programme is in keeping with the approach of inclusion through skills, a cardinal value to which the LePont and KEDGE teams are committed, by making the Data and Artificial Intelligence training accessible to the greatest number.
