Class of 1984: 40 years on, a reunion full of memories...
JobTruck: the mobile temp agency created by a Kedger!
A 2011 KEDGE graduate, Laure Morgant has just founded a company with an innovative concept. JobTruck provides recruiting opportunities in areas where candidates deserve the best chances of access to employment.
After doing a prep in literature, Laure Morgant began attending KEDGE at its Luminy campus in Marseille.
"The business school’s student and alumni testimonies were all more exciting than others. Without hesitation, and despite my friends staring at me (what good is studying literature at business school?), I took the entrance exams! [...] While I was doing my "Tour de France" in the summer of 2007, I visited KEDGE’s Luminy campus. I fell in love! I immediately connected with the school’s philosophy, its values, the way the courses were presented, and of course the campus," Laure told us.
Laure went to partner university in Bremen, Germany for the 2nd semester of her Master 1. She then did a 12-month gap year internship at Adecco in Montpellier, and then did her Master 2 as an alternate work/study format with the same company. With her experience, she got a permanent contract as a recruitment consultant even before she graduated, in 2011.
Over the next five years, Laure advanced within the company to the point where she became head of the company (which became SPRING) when her tutor left. “I have two consultants and an apprentice under me. The Agency has taken on a new dimension,” she explained.
In 2015, Laure gave birth to daughter and decided to leave the temp agency and her frenetic schedule to spend time with her family. She went to work for Montpellier Business School as a Career Consultant before getting promoted to Head of Development. “I assisted students who were looking for a work-study position […] I had a lot of fun working with the young adults. The contact and closeness I had with the students and the school’s partner companies brought a lot to me.
More recently, former colleagues of Addeco ran the idea of joining their “crazy” project, JobTruck, by her. “I couldn’t to resist!”
As part of the new temp employment agency, ADVANCE EMPLOYMENT (headquartered in Vitrolles, France) opened JobTruck Occitania in April 2019 in the Montpellier basin. It’s an employment agency for general temp, contractual, and permanent job placements. Laure is General Manager, but describes herself as "above all, a JobTrucker”!
According to her, JobTruck is a state of mind. In a van fitted out as an office (100% equipped), she travels the roads of the Thau basin, and more generally in the regions of Hérault and Gard, to meet jobseekers and companies. JobTruck is the very meaning of "telework". "I work from my truck and am, by definition, 100% mobile."
JobTruck ensures recruiting from areas where candidates deserve the best chances of access to employment. "For us, being an actor in employment is a strong responsibility. Our ambition is to provide sound advice, and offer a quality service for a true partnership in your development”, said Laure.
Laure, anything else to add?
“JobTruck is also the venture of three JobTruckers: David, Thomas, and Mathieu (who is also a KEDGE graduate)! They prowl the streets of the Avignon, Arles, Brignoles regions.”
“Make your job move thanks to ou totally equipped vehicle!”
