CONCOURS LÉPINE : A PRODUCT DEVELOPED BY A KEDGE GRADUATE WINS 1ST PRIZE
Gwénaël Annee, a graduate of ESC in 1996, heads the Breton start-up IMP, which develops and distributes MedPack, a medical device that has just won the Lépine 2018 contest.
On Monday evening, the 117th Concours Lépine prize was awarded to the "MedPack" device, a portable medical workstation created by Samuel Mercier, an emergency medic at the Pompiers de Paris. This ingenious invention is a complete medical workstation in a 7 kg box which can be easily carried over your shoulder. It is developed and distributed by the Breton start-up Innovative Medical Partners (IMP), led by Gwénaël Annee, a graduate of KEDGE Business School in 1996.
Although Gwénaël did not invent this station himself, he is the one who believed in the product and helped develop it. His company, Innovative Medical Partners, was formed to respond to the need for technical and practical innovations in the medical sector. With a network of partners specialised in their fields, and with associates with more than 20 years of experience in the field of medicine, IMP is developing with a philosophy of innovation and creation. Its main aim is to address the needs staff working in the field. The MedPack effectively meets their needs.
The MedPack is already being used by French firefighters and at Swiss and Belgian university hospital centres, and soon it will be used the French military in Lebanon. By winning the most prestigious award in this iconic contest, there is no doubt that other applications will soon be entrusted to MedPack.
