Shanghai 2021 Global Rankings : KEDGE is ranked 2nd French Business School for its research in Business Administration
The Shanghai Rankings have just published their Global Rankings of Academic Subjects (GRAS). KEDGE placed second for research in the Business Administration category.
KEDGE has moved up one place from last year's ranking and is now firmly placed in the world's Top 100.
Since 2003, the Shanghai Ranking has ranked more than 4,000 higher education institutions worldwide by academic specialty based on the quantity and quality of their research publications, and using the following tangible criteria:
- The number of articles published in the leading management journals (top 25%) between 2015 and 2019,
- The Research Impact Factor, measured by the number of citations of its scientific articles published between 2015 and 2019,
- International cross-institutional research collaboration between 2015 and 2019,
- The number of articles published in the Top 1% management journals and conferences between 2015 and 2019,
- The number of staff members of the institution who had won a "significant" award since 1981.
Shanghai’s "by subject" ranking covers 54 disciplines, categorised into five major fields: natural sciences, engineering, life sciences, medical sciences, and social sciences.
KEDGE is ranked 2nd among French schools in the Business Administration category and in the Top 100 worldwide. KEDGE is also ranked 8th in the Management category and in the Top 300 worldwide. These distinctions attest to the quality of the school's faculty, which has earned a worldwide reputation. The professors are the ones who bring this reputation to the school and contribute to its development.
As Vincent Mangematin, Dean and Director of Academic Affairs at KEDGE said, "These excellent results are the fruit of constant and ongoing investment in research at KEDGE. They demonstrate the priority we give to the impact of our research on the entire academic community, our students, and our partners. A huge congratulations to all the teams".
By positioning itself among the world's leading institutions, KEDGE guarantees its students a high level of teaching staff.
"Research feeds our pedagogical approaches and programmes, our reputation, and our voice in the academic world. It also brings together the ecosystems and the business world around KEDGE. Research is an important pillar of a school, and we will continue to develop and promote it", said Alexandre de Navailles, KEDGE's Director General.
