This Kedger has created an app that has reinvented wine appreciation
A 2006 KEDGE graduate, Pascal Barbe launched Vino Vibes because he wants to pass along the knowledge that allows professionals to choose a wine without having tasted it by visualising its profile.
After getting a law degree and having worked in Canada, Pascal Barbe resumed his studies and attended KEDGE on its Marseille campus. After he got his diploma he went to work for a Languedoc wine estate as a sales manager and then worked in the export promotion of wines from the Occitan region under the Sud de France brand; "Through my experience in exports, I was able to discover other wine cultures that had a much more relaxed approach to wines", he said.
In 2018, with the help of a friend, he founded Vino Vibes: a wonderful human-centred venture that brings together people driven by the desire to share their love of wine. The objective is to offer a complete and fun learning experience. Further, the bottles are representative of each terroir.
"I’ve heard too often, 'I like wine but I don't know anything about it’. While I was learning, it suddenly came to me that there was no tool to learn about wine that was both accessible and fun. Vino Vibes is an idea driven by the desire to pass on some of the knowledge that gives professionals the ability to select wines - to visualise its profile without even having tasted it based on basic knowledge such as the origin and varieties of the grapes used." - Pascal Barbe.
Pascal is currently putting together offers for wine professionals around wine tourism (VinoWays) and training (VinoSkills).
Finally, a Ulule campaign is currently underway which gives you access to preferential rates.
