Carbookr, the start-up of a KEDGE alumni has revolutionised the car rental business!
Nicolas Job, a KEDGE BS graduate, is the founder and CEO of Carbookr, a platform for car hire aimed at business travellers and companies.
Nicolas Job did an MBA from Kedge Business School and received his degree in April 2017. Before creating Carbookr he worked more than six years for Avis Budget International as Sales Manager for the Grand Est region. He was also a regular contributor to the Business Nursery and of the KEDGE Alumni network. Nicolas never hesitates to give his time to students of his former school.
In January 2017, he cofounded Carbookr with his associate Frédéri Villa Vega. The start-up is the number one car rental service dedicated to companies and business travellers.
“We globalise car rental offers on a single platform in order to maintain competitive prices at all times. We establish a fair price, without supplemental charges, to help you control your budget. We insist on premium service for the comfort of all our travellers, particularly with our valet and concierge services,” said Nicolas.
The company offers an affordable service for businesses, with rates that are on average 20% cheaper and much more transparent than conventional pricing. With 30,000 vehicles and 530 agencies, the company has quickly found its place in the professional car rental market, due in part to raising funds of 530,000 euros last April from several investors (Provence Business Angels, Pfactory, Paca Emergence, Private Investors, BPI, and CEPAC), and by joining Alliance Biz Travel (a group of French start-ups related to business travel).
KEDGE Business organised a hackathon for the start-up, Carbookr
On 23 November, a Hackathon was held at KEDGE Business Daniel Carasso, during which students of the MSc Digital Marketing and Sales programme mobilised their collective intelligence around a business problem to propose solutions and recommendations.
