Find out more about what’s new with the KEDGE Bachelor degree
KEDGE has made changes to its bachelor degree programme: Interview with Cédric Ghetty, Associate Dean for Pedagogy and Programmes at KEDGE Business School.
Would you give us a quick overview of the KEDGE Bachelor?
The KEDGE Bachelor's degree is a generalist programme in management and business administration, which is offered in the 1st year after the French Bac or Bac+1 (via the Ecricome Bachelor's exam) and after registration on Parcoursup. Joining the programme for the 3rd year is also possible for those with a Bac+2, and is based on a written application and interview.
The programme lasts three years and delivers a state-approved degree at the Bac+3 level.
The programme has had several new features added since the start of the 2021 school year. What are they?
To better respond to the expectations and needs of students in a professional world that is constantly evolving, the programme has been redesigned to improve the employability of students with the certification of key competencies for professional life and offers more opportunities for work-study. The programme also offers more specialised courses, particularly in professions related to the wine industry, and new courses focusing on research methodology. The KEDGE Bachelor also expands its international outreach.
Would you tell us about these changes in more detail?
The ability to acquire certificates of competence, which are essential for improving the employability of students.
-
These certificates recognising academic training are designed to facilitate the integration of students into professional life and are documented by certifications. They include:
-
The ability to do the third year as a work-study on all campuses
-
A new specialisation in the wine sector.
- A new course to promote the Research aspect of learning
KEDGE is a school that is open to the world. What are the changes in the programme in regard to international relations?
The international aspect of the school has been enhanced with the signing of new partner universities.
These new partnerships will allow more students in the Bachelor's programme to go abroad to more destinations, and more international students will be able to enrol in the programme:
- From January 2022, exchange students in their 2nd year will be able to go to two new destinations: Canada and the USA.
- International students from partner universities in Costa Rica, Spain, Finland, and Tunisia, in particular, can now enrol in the programme, either as a double-degree student or as an exchange student.
What changes are planned for the start of the 2022 school year?
Already offered on the three permanent campuses, the KEDGE Bachelor degree will be offered on the Paris campus at the start of the 2022 academic year. This innovative campus will welcome around one hundred students from year one.
The programme will follow the current format, and students will be able to access all existing specialities on the following schedule: the first and second years in Paris and the third year on one of the seven campuses where the programme is offered, depending on the speciality chosen. The final year can be done on a work-study basis at the Bordeaux, Marseille, Toulon, Bayonne, Avignon, and Bastia campuses.
