KEDGE Alumni, Jacques-Olivier Pesme, taught at the KEDGE campus in Bordeaux for over 20 years, notably as the school’s Director of the Wine & Spirits Academy. He officially took up his duties as Director of the Wine Research Centre at the University of British Columbia in Canada at the beginning of July.

The University of British Columbia is giving its wine centre, which was established in 1999, am overhaul to develop it into a world-renowned Centre of Global Expertise. The Wine Research Centre is now bringing together a multidisciplinary team of 30 people from UBC's faculties of science, social sciences, management, chemistry, and biology divided between its Vancouver and Kelowna campuses in the Okanagan - the heart of the Canadian wine region. Jacques-Olivier, previously the Senior Advisor to the Director of the UBC Faculty of Management, will bring it his specialisation in management and strategy, as well as the drive to innovate its training programmes and research areas.
The Wine Research Centre is at the cutting edge of technology with its research labs, tasting room and other facilities dedicated to wine teaching modules for 600 students (Bachelor and Master). Its cellar has been endowed with 5,000 bottles, including old vintages of prestigious vintages - an educational support unequalled in the world. https://bit.ly/2Oad
