A KEDGE graduate has been appointed Managing Director of The French Naval Industry, GICAN!
2005 KEDGE graduate (Marseille campus), Philippe Missoffe has recently joined The French Naval Industry as its new Managing Director.
Philippe Missoffe is the new Managing Director of GICAN (The French Naval Industry). He succeeds François Lambert, who went to work for the Ministry of the Sea this past summer.

On 13 October 2020, the Board of Directors of The French Naval Industry (GICAN) appointed Mr Philippe Missoffe as the Group’s Managing Director. Mr Missoffe was formerly the Industrial Cooperation and Offsets Director at Naval Group.
Mr Hervé Guillou, President of GICAN, declared, "I am very pleased to welcome Philippe Missoffe as Managing Director of GICAN. His extensive experience in the maritime sector and defence activities will undoubtedly be an invaluable asset in the recovery period that will begin in the coming months, as well as in revitalising the Group and strengthening the attractiveness of maritime industry professions. He’ll be able to depend on the entire team of permanent staff at GICAN, in particular, Jean-Marie Duman, who was appointed the Deputy Managing Director. Mr Duman has been on deck the last few months to provide support to our members during this health crisis as well as organise the EURONAVAL ONLINE".
Mr Missoffe added, "It’s with great honour that I accept the Managing Director position at GICAN. After a successful career with several defence industry companies, I will strive to work together for the success of the French maritime industry".
The Board of Directors warmly thanks Mr François Lambert for the vitality he brought to GICAN and it will provide all the assistance the new team may need to strengthen support for members and develop our industry.

GICAN (The French Naval Industry) is a professional union which affiliates more than 190 industrialists and organisations in the French maritime industry. It brings together shipyards, system and equipment manufacturers, subcontractors, engineering companies, naval architects, and all companies involved in civil shipbuilding and its equipment, construction of military vessels, safety and security, marine renewable marine, and development and protection of the oceans and coastal and port infrastructures.
