A KEDGE Alumnus has been named CEO of Moët Hennessy Nordics
Thibault TESTOT-FERRY, a 1997 graduate of KEDGE Business School's GEP programme in Marseilles, was appointed General Manager of Moët Hennessy Nordics
Remarkable work within the company
In 2011 Thibault Testot-Ferry went to work for Moët Hennessy Diageo France as Marketing Manager for Scotch whiskies, and then in 2012 became the Marketing Director at Diago. Thibault significantly increased Diageo's profitability through strong partnerships with the commercial and financial teams. In particular, he made Malts the number one profit centre in the portfolio and increased the category's market share leadership in France.
He also launched the Captain Morgan rum brand, which has become the best innovation in spirits of the last 15 years in France and the leader in the rum category.
More recently, Thibault was Business Development Manager for Asia Pacific at Maison Moët & Chandon. In that position, he focused on Moët & Chandon's value creation strategy by leveraging the entire portfolio and ensuring effective management of the shortfall of Dom Pérignon.
From KEDGE to Moët Hennessy, an impressive career
Thibault entered KEDGE’s Grande Ecole Programme in 1995. "After my first year, I chose to do the marketing track and I took advantage of the internship scheme that was being set up for the first time," he explained. "I went to work for Orangina France as an apprentice Product Manager. That was one of the best periods of my life. Being a student and working at the same time, putting theory and practice into perspective, and experiencing management by professionals saved me an incredible amount of time, made me more mature, and better prepared me for the future.” As an aside, he met Alexandra MATTLET during his graduation from KEDGE, and now they are married.
Thibault’s career started at Mondelez International after he graduated. In 2002, he went to work for the French company Panzani and held several brand management positions there. In 2009, got a Key Account Manager position at Lesieur (a food production company) and then became its Group Marketing Manager in 2010.
His advice to students currently at KEDGE is this: "In professional life, attitude is always far more important than ability. No matter what happens, no matter what the conditions are, people who are committed, humble, and authentic always do better than people who are brilliant but don’t have motivation. In order to be that person, you have to both love what you do and the conditions under which you do it (harder than it sounds,). And you must be obsessed with succeeding."
