Class of 1984: 40 years on, a reunion full of memories...
At 27, this Kedger has become one of the youngest supermarket managers!
A 2015 KEDGE graduate, Benjamin Rinvet is today at the head of Carrefour d'Avranches.
,Originally from Brittany, specifically Vannes, Benjamin Rinvet enrolled in KEDGE Business School’s Grand Ecole Programme in 2012 on its Bordeaux campus. After he received his diploma in 2015, he went to work for Carrefour in its logistics department at its headquarters in Evry in the Essonne. “I wanted to work for a large company that has a world-wide reputation,” explained the young Director.
Benjamin Rinvet did a six-week in-store internship, after which he applied to Carrefour’s Graduate Programme, which has several programmes tailored to the different profiles of those seeking a life experience and which are filled with an introduction and exposure to a variety of senior positions. The programme to become a director lasts three years with positions of sector manager of different products.
"The strength of this programme lies in its ability to make us quickly cognisant of the functions of management, whilst providing us with strategic training throughout the year to enable us to better understand the reality of operating a store. The plethora of the different positions we hold ensures a proximity to the teams covering the entire store. It is a real evolutionary human adventure, full of pleasant surprises.” Benjamin Rinvet - graduates.carrefour.fr
Today, Benjamin Rinvet manages a 5,800 m2 supermarket that has 116 employees. For him, age is not a problem. "We are all from the same Carrefour class that trained us to have integrated management positions,” he says.
Finally, he wants to develop his store by "expanding the organic selection and partnerships with local producers, and launching a home delivery service."
Huge congratulations to this Kedger!
