A look back at the first Réussites Solidaires: working...
Who is the coordinator of the KEDGE Alumni Lisbon branch?
Created and run by a volunteer graduate, this antenna aims to allow alumni and local students to meet from time to time during afterworks, visits or other friendly events.
KEDGE Alumni has many branches around the world to allow local alumni to meet each other, expand their network, exchange on their respective experiences and have a good time.
Today, we invite you to discover the portrait of the dynamic animator of our Lisbon branch.
💬 GWENAËLLE LANNUZEL (KEDGE BACHELOR 2001) - LISBON
Today, you live in Lisbon. What do you like in this country, and more particularly in this city ? What is different from France?
Absolutely, I have been living in Lisbon for a little more than 4 years and I am very happy there. Portugal is a welcoming and kind country, I love its different regions like the Algarve, coastal and touristic, or the Alentejo, wilder and more rural. I fell in love with the kindness of the Portuguese, with the people who smile at you in the street, who say hello to you, and with the respect that exists between people.
I find here a sweetness of life and an incomparable serenity 🌷.
Portugal is a very safe country, which is a very attractive point. As far as Lisbon is concerned, I feel like I belong there. It's a human-sized capital, not too big and not too small. It is beautiful, lively, colorful... and you can breathe! In addition, we are close to the sea, it is a real privilege, and it brings a light and exceptional energies 🌊.
Tell us a little about your professional background: what position do you currently hold? What was your educational and professional background to get to this point?
I am currently an independent entrepreneur in several fields: as areal estate agent for Safti Portugal and a development partner in Portugal for Forever Living Products, the world leader in aloe vera products 🌿 ... and I am also a Reiki Master ☯.
I am a graduate of the KEDGE Bachelor of Bordeaux, promotion 2001. During the following 15 years, I trained in the field in Paris in jobs around sales in B to B. I then expatriated to Morocco where I managed tourist establishments (restaurants and hotels) before crossing the road to Portugal and deciding to move there for my 40th birthday. I am open to life changes, to new opportunities that arise, hence my current professional activities. I think it's good not to stay fixed in a position or a field but to let yourself be surprised by the course of life.
You are now in charge of the local branch of KEDGE Alumni. What motivated you to apply as a volunteer?
This job is one of life's serendipities, even if they say there are none 😊.
After a post on the Portugal Linkedin group, proposing a meeting with other Kedgers possibly present in Lisbon, I was contacted by Morgane SAMUEL, in charge of the KEDGE Alumni network antennas. The latter proposed me to open the antenna and I of course said Yes 🙌 !
I love sharing and meeting people so becoming an antenna host was an obvious choice for me.
What is your fondest memory as an on-air host or the event that marked you the most?
The antenna is very young and at the beginning of its history so it is already very pleasant to see that at each afterwork we are more numerous. My small pride was to welcome, to my great surprise because they had not registered, some Portuguese students who had done a 6-month exchange at KEDGE in France and had heard about our second afterwork.
We had a nice evening filled with exchanges of experiences ✨.
What are your ambitions for this antenna, what are your projects?
So of course that this antenna grows and grows again! That the Alumni are aware of its existence and get in touch with me.
The nice project for which I'm really working for the Lisbon Chapter is a meeting between Lusophone Alumni organized on Thursday May 18th 2023 at the French Embassy in Lisbon with other French schools. A great opportunity to talk about us!
What message would you like to send to the graduates and students passing through or living in Lisbon?
For those who are visiting: Bem vindo!
And for everyone else: Contact me ! Follow me on social networks to be informed of upcoming events!
Muito obrigada, Até breve !
