The 2022 KEDGE Global MBA weekend!
And here came the time of the long-awaited KEDGE Business School 2022 Global MBA Alumni week-end in Bordeaux!
Several times delayed for sanitary reasons, Friday, June 10th pm started with COO Michael Lanero Fidalgo (2019 EMBA alumnus) delivering a brilliant inhouse presentation at TreeFrog Therapeutics, a fascinating biotech start up. Tree frog brings together biophysicists, stem cell biologists & bioproduction engineers around the motto "Cell Therapy for All". TreeFrog Therapeutics is advancing a pipeline of cell therapies with the aim of a first-in-human trial in 2024, and is expanding in France, the US and Japan.
Michael provided crystal clear explanations about this innovating and challenging sector.
On Saturday June 11th, we all headed off to Chateau d’Agassac welcomed by Lucas Leclercq (2019 EMBA alumnus), winemaker and General Manager at both Chateau Fourcas Dupré and Chateau d'Agassac.
After a welcome coffee, alumni and Global MBA participants took a guided tour of the vineyards, castle and winery followed with a -very animated- collective workshop “cook your own meal”, whose outcome was shared and tasted under the trees, facing the castle.
Everyone was then attentive to Gerald Brun (2021 EMBA alumnus), Director of Optarel (a 100% Valorem subsidiary). Since 2002, Optarel has specialized in the development of products for the optimization of electrical networks. Building on this expertise, Optarel is focusing its activities on self-consumption photovoltaic solutions on roofs and shades. Gerald’s made his presentation on the renewable energy sector in France and Europe, outlining the issues at stake with facts and figures.
This active day ended with a friendly dinner and festive sharing at Bordeaux Darwin Ecosystem and along the Garonne river.
A closing brunch took place on Sunday, by the Garonne river again, before everyone goes back to professional and family life.
This weekend was organized with a pool of MBA alumni gathered in a steering committee:
- Sandrine Garanto (2019 alumnus based in Bordeaux- thank you for your helpful tips),
- Xavier Pace (2021 alumnus based in Marseille),
- Nadine Gouba (2020 alumnus based in Paris),
- KEDGE Alumni and KEDGE Executive Education.
More than just a social and networking event, it’s been a pleasure to highlight some of the numerous KEDGE talents!
Thank you to the alumni for their presence and good mood that made this week-end a success. This is KEDGE spirit.
Looking forward to next year’s session … in Marseille?
