Meet Pierrine Griffiths, a KEDGE Alumna and the Chief Marketing Officer at VizEat-EatWith
Hello, Pierrine! To start with, can you tell us about your educational and professional background?
I am originally from Reims, and I did a prep programme for HEC before joining the ESC programme at the KEDGE Bordeaux campus, where I also did a one year exchange programme with the Nottingham University Business School, before obtaining my degree in 1999. My time at KEDGE Business School taught me to be open minded and gave me the opportunity to study in England, which enabled me to then very quickly began an international career. I returned to the UK after graduating and worked for British Telecom in London for two years, then moved to Paris to participate in the group's B2B establishment in Paris. Then I started working on B2C through an experience at a mobile marketing agency, at Airbweb, and then as Head of Mobile Acquisition Marketing Europe at Meetic-Match.com.
Today, you have joined the start-up VizEat-EatWith.
Yes, exactly. I wanted to work on something different and more engaging, and since I am passionate about travelling, I embarked on a new adventure in 2016 and am now working as Chief Marketing Officer for VizEat-EatWith, the world leader in at-home culinary experiences. To put it briefly, VizEat is putting friendliness back in style! Our website/app brings together more than 20,000 people throughout the world who host travelers. They share a common passion for cooking and art of living, as well enjoy hosting and meeting new people. The community of hosts has continued to grow and offer a diverse selection of culinary experiences. Recently, we were able to buy our main competitor EatWith and have become a even bigger market player. Our app was also elected as "Best app 2016" and the start-up has been written about in a number of magazine articles, including Forbes, Les Echos, or even Business Insider.
Pierrine will be present at the next Marketing Club event
