Geev, co-founded by a Kedger, has earned one of the "Tech for Good” Awards!
The Geev application by Hakim Baka (2008 GEP), which specialises in the donation of objects and food, has just won the Circular Economy prize at the Tech for Good Awards given by BFM Business and France Digitale.
In 2015, Geev’s two founders, Florian Blanc and Hakim Baka, launched a simple idea on Facebook: post adverts to donate an object you no longer want. "The Paris group grew quickly, thus our community was born. We were able to observe and learn how people gave things to each other over the internet," said Florian.
Today, the application has 2.2 million subscribers, with around 500,000 active users every month.
The young start-up has just been awarded the Circular Economy prize at the Tech for Good Awards organised by BFM Business and France Digitale and has so succeeded last year’s winner, Back Market.
