The KEDGE'BEES association has installed three beehives on the Bordeaux campus!
With the placement of three beehives on the Bordeaux campus, 100,000 bees are joining our Kedgers.
KEDGE’Bees’ mission is to protect bees in urban locations in order to support biodiversity, while letting them create honey at the school. Three hives have been installed on the Bordeaux campus. The bees aren’t there yet; they will arrive at the end of winter (more precisely, in the beginning of March).
“Our project also aims to raise awareness about corporate and social responsibility with the students and the Bordeaux inhabitants, and to offer honey that is 100% “Made in Kedge”. The inauguration of our hives will take place on 27 March,” the association explained.
Along with Rémy Charles (a beekeeper of the region), the association’s team is made up of 11 students and trains and supports them throughout the year so they will be completely autonomous in the extraction of honey, that will subsequently be processed in the honey factory of Rémy.

Victors of the 2018 Kick-Start Week-End 2018: "The 1 000 € was won during the 2018 Kick-Start Week-End thanks to a pitch created with Matthieu Egloff, my partner and treasurer of the KEDGE’Bees Association, constitutes a little help to finance materials, hives, colonies, and training with a beekeeper,” congratulates Marin Dufraisse.
Finally, the association has launched a crowdfunding campaign to recover the costs of training and material, as well as to ensure the continuation of the association.
