Class of 1984: 40 years on, a reunion full of memories...
This Kedger’s crowdfunding platform, MiiMOSA, is very successful!
For more than five years, KEDGE graduate Florian Breton has headed MiiMOSA – a participatory fundraising platform for agriculture and food.
You have probably already heard of Florian Breton (a 2008 graduate from KEDGE Business School), or at least his company: MiiMOSA.
In 2015, after having worked for seven years in the audio-visual sector, he decided to launch MiiMOSA, which is now Europe’s top participatory financing platform exclusively dedicated to agriculture and food businesses.
The company has 30 employees and is present in France and Belgium. MiiMOSA has supported more than 2,500 projects and has raised more than 20 million euros. Two platforms have been developed to revolutionise the financing of this theme: MiiMOSA (local agriculture and food) and MiiMOSA transition (agricultural, food, and energy transition).
To give hens some freedom, Sabrina and her family plant trees and hedges around their future henhouse. Discover the project here.
After having supported projects on the "donation-based" model, MiiMOSA strengthened its financing offer with "loan based" crowdfunding at the beginning of 2018 making it possible to direct popular savings towards agricultural and food projects.
Therefore, the platform offers several solutions for project leaders in order to diversify funding sources:
- donation-based: up to 70,000€
- participatory loan: up to 200,000€
- loan or quasi self-funded for agriculture, food, or energy transition projects: up to 1,000, 000€
The platform not only offers alternatives to traditional financing, it's also “a place to discuss, share, and show solidarity between a community of contributors and project promotors in these sectors”, explained Florian.
