KEDGE launches the month of inclusiveness in May
Among the three commitments of its new strategy, KEDGE aims to be an original, sustainable, and inclusive school.
To meet this goal, and in conjunction with the KEDGE IMPAKT strategic project, KEDGE will be rolling out its CSR expertise via monthly themes throughout the year. The school is designating May as the MONTH OF INCLUSIVITY and is holding a series of actions and events for members of the KEDGE community.
One of the essential purposes of education is to train the younger generations in socio-environmental issues. Conscious of this important duty, the subjects of inclusiveness, including disability, gender, and equal opportunities, are at the heart of the KEDGE operation.
As the first management school in France to appoint an Associate Dean for Inclusiveness, Anicia Jaegler, KEDGE wants to provide access to a very high level of higher education for all by committing itself to equal opportunities. The teaching teams design and develop distinctive educational programmes that engage each generation. Additionally, the school's 64 student associations also contribute to the school’s strategy of inclusivity through their actions to reducing inequalities and discrimination.
KEDGE is devoting the month of May to inclusiveness. Throughout the month, the school will develop and participate in several activities by and for its community, including participation in major national and international events:
- Les Assises de la Parité (The Foundations of Parity) on Thursday, 6 May organised by the International Women's Forum. KEDGE is a partner, with speakers from the world of politics, academia, media, and business to raise awareness and further the commitment to gender equality.
- Le Grand Tour #NotreGénérationEgalité on Monday, 10 May on the Bordeaux campus, organised by the Institut Open Diplomacy. In the run-up to the UN Women Summit, KEDGE will host Adrien Taquet, Secretary of State for Children and Families attached to the Minister of Solidarity and Health to involve citizens in feminist diplomacy in France.
The next KEDGE On Air programme, scheduled for Wednesday, 5 May at 7 pm on Twitch, will also address the theme of inclusiveness through several pieces and guests who will give us details on their actions and initiatives to encourage diversity.
A series of internal conferences will be led by professors to raise awareness and help employees reinforce their commitment to students. The first debates will address good practices in the matter of ethics and inclusiveness, and "how to name things". Training in Microsoft's inclusive tools will also be offered.
A press briefing on Female Entrepreneurship will be held on Thursday, 27 May on KEDGE’s Paris campus to highlight the value of gender diversity in entrepreneurship and the type of support provided by the KEDGE Business Nursery.
On the student associations' side, a conference to fight against sexism and sexual violence and a simulation of the UN will be offered by KEDGE student forums as part of the Cordées de la Réussite.
