Choose honey that is 100% Made in Kedge, offered by KEDGE Bordeaux apiculture association, Kedge'Bees
Do you know about Kedge'Bees and its delicious honey?
Kedge’Bees has only been a student association since May 2020. It’s committed to the beekeeping cause with many ambitious and creative projects while showing that it is possible to produce, distribute, and consume honey in a responsible fashion.
"Composed of 13 ambitious members who share common values and commitments, KEDGE'Bees is organised around five pillars led by a board that conveys the association's vision." Mathilde Emonides, President, Kedge’Bees.
First a Pro-Act, then a committee, and now an association, KEDGE'Bees has three main objectives:
- To raise awareness among students, the KEDGE administration, its sponsors, and partners, and the general public, of the importance of preserving pollinating insects, which are now endangered and yet indispensable to nature.
- To respect the principles of Corporate Social Responsibility and to raise public awareness of this approach.
- To market its own honey produced within the school and resell it at cost price to Kedgers in order to make them discover the various flavours of our honey.
To put it simply, the mission of Kedge'Bees is to preserve bees and their ecosystem, raise awareness of the CSR approach, and offer honey that is 100% made in KEDGE.

Succumb to honey that is 100% made in KEDGE
"The Kedge’Bees honey is made from flowers growing around the KEDGE Bordeaux campus. The honey is collected by the members of the hive centre. Usually kept on the KEDGE campus, given the particular situation, this year, the hives were kept with our beekeeper partner: Rémy Charles".
Kedge’Bees now owns four hives. Since 2019, 215kg of honey have been harvested. and there were two harvests in 2020 despite the difficult context. There will soon be seven hives number will increase to 7 thanks to three new sponsors.

A project with a larger scope:
In October 2020, the Kedge’Bees, in partnership with Bee Responsible, the beekeeping association of NEOMA Rouen, created the Student Beekeeping Federation : Bee Students, which is dedicated to increasing the visibility and legitimacy of student beekeeping associations in the beekeeping world. Since its the creation, two other associations, Mines de Saint-Etienne (Wi'Mines l'Ourson) and Isara de Lyon (Isar'Abeille), have joined the federation.
