Class of 1984: 40 years on, a reunion full of memories...
KEDGE Business School’s EESPIG label has been renewed for 5 years
Our school has again been labelled as a Private Higher Education Institution with a Public Interest by (EESPIG), which is granted by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research for five years.
KEDGE Business School is a non-profit association under the French law of 1901 and is recognised by the French government. Its programmes are accredited, some of which deliver Master and Bachelor degrees. It has triple accreditation from AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA. Because of its private status, it operates independently in the service of the education and success of its students.
The school uses 100% of its resources for its training and research programmes to meet the challenges of French higher education, including pedagogical innovation, welcoming and supporting students, social openness, professional integration, and its international dimension. It fully meets its role as a research institute, which has been reinforced since the Research Programming Law.
The French Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Higher Education and Research have just renewed KEDGE's EESPIG label for a period of 5 years, recognising its mission of general interest and its public utility. The EESPIG label aims to bring transparency to the private higher education sector by highlighting non-profit institutions that contribute the public service, award qualifications on behalf of the State and are regularly monitored by the public authorities.
KEDGE offers a range of courses, global locations, a social policy, and other activities that contribute to the public service roles of higher education and public research.
"KEDGE trains managers who will have an impact on their environment. Through this renewal of the EESPIG label, we are pleased that the Ministry, by recognising our pedagogy and our research, is encouraging our initiatives to improve the availability of our programmes to facilitate the career choices of young people and their families", said Alexandre de Navailles, General Director of KEDGE. He added, "We are proud to stand beside the FESIC in support of a not-for-profit educational model that promotes the quality of the French higher education and research ecosystem".
Private higher education institutions with a public interest ("EESPIG - Etablissement public d’intérêt general)Etablissement public d’intérêt général)
The EESPIG label created by the law of 22 July 2013 (Fioraso law), is awarded only to non-profit institutions by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research. Through a multi-year contract with the State, any institution recognised as a private higher education institution of general interest (EESPIG) that contributes to the public service objectives of higher education and research receives a grant for this. It is monitored and evaluated regularly by the Ministry and by the High Council for the Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (HCERES), in the same way as public institutions.
EESPIGs have been involved in the various reforms of the last five years (Parcoursup and CVEC, apprenticeship and professional training, etc.). More recently, the research programming law recognised EESPIGs as public research operators (art. L112-2 of the research code).
