A look back at the first Réussites Solidaires: working...
BOTA.TV, founded by KEDGE graduate Marine Barnérias, is recruiting Kedgers!
Join Marine Barnérias and her company, BOTA.TV, as a community manager or video editor!
MARINE BARNÉRIAS, A PATH NOT LIKE OTHERS 🎓
We already told you about Marine Barnérias in January 2019 through our article covering the incredible journey of this Kedger who fought a disease by becoming an explorer, writer, TV presenter, conference speaker, and producer.
At age 21, Marine’s life was turned upside down when doctors diagnosed her with multiple sclerosis (MS). This autoimmune disease affects the central nervous system and leads to lesions that cause motor, sensory, and cognitive disturbances. In the long- or even short-term, this disorder can progress until one is irreversibly disabled.
A fighter and energetic, Marine would not let herself be beaten and decided to give up everything to embark on an exceptional journey she called "Seper Hero", and to start writing her autobiography. Since then, she’s become a TV presenter and manager of a production company!
"After my Seper Hero adventure, I received a lot of requests from the community to make it into a film. I knew nothing about how to do something like that and had never worked in production. I wanted to surround myself with people I could trust to carry my message. I couldn't find a production company, so I simply set up my own. It was a bit crazy adventure – producing a documentary while knowing NOTHING about how to go about it. Life has a way of working out and I found the production company I was looking for. So today we are in co-production and the documentary will be released in cinemas in 2021. The film conveys my message quite simply - the desire to love and appreciate our ups and downs. We all have an immense strength that lies dormant in each one of us". - Marine Barnérias.
HER NEW PROJECT: BOTA.TV 📺
Marine has co-founded Bota.tv with Nathan Morfoisse, which is a new conference model focused exclusively on experience and discussions between participants. After the first three successful events, from October, Marine and Nathan will produce live broadcasts on Twitch and rebroadcast them on Youtube.
"We are launching a series of programmes whose objective is to confront the points of view of two well-known and legitimate speakers on a given subject, with four under-30s who have many solid questions," added Marine.
The programmes three pillars:
- We evoke the stakes of tomorrow: The World is changing before our eyes. It’s urgent to stop rehashing observations and find solutions.
- We address the new generation: It’s the first generation that’s ready to make real sacrifices to affect change.
- We are not journalists: We want interactions to be direct so that opinions can be formed by themselves.
