After a career spanning more than 20 years within the BMW Group, Emmanuel Bret is taking on a new challenge and joining the Vietnamese company VinFast. He will be assuming responsibility for the management of its sales and marketing operations.
Emmanuel Bret (Grande Ecole Programme - Class of 1994) was very recently appointed Deputy CEO of the Vietnamese car manufacturer VinFast. He also holds the position of Global Sales and Marketing Director.
In 2021, the teams of KEDGE Business School met with Emmanuel when he was still CEO of BMW Sweden. After having lived in Norway for some time, Emmanuel transferred to Stockholm in Sweden. He told us about his career and the advantages of living abroad.
Emmanuel is particularly known for having worked for 12 years within the French subsidiary of BMW. He was responsible for managing marketing communications before serving as Director of its Mini brand from 2005 to 2010. Emmanuel was then promoted to General Manager- Sales for the entirety of the Group's brands - a position he held for four years and that earned him a seat on the Executive Committee. - journalauto.com
The next chapter of his career within the BMW group took place in Scandinavia when he took over responsibility for the general management of the Norwegian subsidiary. He became an expert in the electromobility market and direct sales. Since 2018, this KEDGE Business School graduate (who had taken advantage of BMW's internal training programme for senior managers in 2006) has been supervising all of BMW’s activities in Sweden and Northern Europe. - journalauto.com
