Awareness Campaign Against Sexist and Sexual Violence Week: KEDGE’s commitment to the education community
KEDGE is committed to combatting all forms of discrimination. For the school, protecting the health and safety of its community is a priority. As part of this approach and the Awareness Campaign Against Sexist and Sexual Violence Week KEDGE, organised sev
Diversity and the health and well-being of members of the KEDGE community are at the core of the school’s philosophy and values. KEDGE has been involved in the fight against sexual harassment, sexual violence, sexism, and homophobia for several years. Through its Wellness service, the school has put into place a process for reporting and addressing these types of situations. The Wellness service is committed to the well-being of students, and offers psychological services to those who may need it.
In this respect, KEDGE took part in the Awareness Campaign Against Sexist and Sexual Violence Week from 25 to 29 January 2021, which was fuelled by the educational community. Co-organised with student "ambassadors" who are concerned with changing mentalities and who desire to put an end to the violence that persists in the student environment, the week consisted of important events that met the needs of the student community in terms of awareness, information, and speaking out.
"The fight against all forms of discrimination and violence has long been engrained in the values of KEDGE. Engaging in this fight, becoming aware of, and raising awareness is everyone’s duty and I’m very proud that our student community is actively involved in speaking out against sexist and sexual violence," said Christophe Mouysset, KEDGE's Director of Corporate Relations and Entrepreneurship.
This event is a starting point for changing society’s behaviours, as well as getting students involved in the fight against all forms of violence and discrimination. KEDGE's student associations are heavily involved in speaking out on this subject and promoting changes to social norms and behaviours. During this event, they each produced a visual and a slogan, and made a firm commitment to fighting against sexist and sexual violence.
The awareness-raising week closed with the launch of the national charter of student responsibility initiated by the Bureau National des Etudiants en école de Management (BNEM) (National Association of Business School Students, which will be signed by all KEDGE students.
