An alumna has become the new Director of KEDGE BS’s ISIL programme
Marie-Laure Furgala is the new Director of KEDGE’s ISLI programme in Bordeaux. She succeeds Dominique Estampe who has been at the head of the programme for more than 30 years.
The idea was that a former student would replace our distinguished programme Director, Dominique Estampe. Marie-Laure Furgala, a 1996 programme graduate, was the natural choice as she had already contributed to the programme. She has solid experience in the field, as well as management in the global context. She began her career in the cards and electronic components sector, in particular with Solectron, where she worked for more than seven years before it was taken over by Flextronics. Based in Bordeaux, she steered the implementation of good practices in supply chain management throughout its European sites, and was Global Account Manager for their client Schneider Electric. She then worked in the plastic food packaging industry with Veriplast, and after for its mother company Paccor, which is based in Holland, as European Supply Chain Improvement Director. From 2014, she has headed the Procurement team of Sonelog, with the Sonepar group, in the Bordeaux region.
During an interview with Supply Chain magazine, Marie-Laure Furgala added:
“My career path has largely echoed the content of the ISLI programme, which is known for its international openness”, referring to the 27 nationalities represented amongst the 75 students in the programme. The part-time programme is taught in English over a period of nine months, with internships at its core. As for the French programme, there are 140 students enrolled for one or two years depending upon their background, and operates on an alternate school/business schedule. "I am very keen to continue to open training to the world of work so that our students have access to an extensive network, beyond that of our almost 4,000 former graduates," adds Marie- Laure Furgala, citing her approaches to business skills and the digitalization of the Supply Chain.
Alumni of ISLI, let us know your opinion!
Marie-Laure Furgala is taking advantage of her arrival to the programme to rethink the content of the Global Supply Chain Forum organised each year by the students of the Programme, putting as its focus of the concerns of supply chain professionals who are graduates of ISLI.
To do this, she is collecting opinions from our alumni community to find out which topics and issues they are confronted with on a daily basis, and to consider extending the event with an evening social.
