A KEDGE Alumna wins the Prix de la Femme à l'International in Marseille!
Nathalie Dumas, Cesemed Alumna, class of 1995 and President of KEDGE Alumni in Marseille, just won the "prix de la Femme à l'International" for the PACA & Monaco region, as part of the "Trophées des Femmes de l'Economie."
With her background, it is no wonder Nathalie Dumas, who graduated from KEDGE Business School in 1995, was elected "Femme à l'International" by the Women in the Economy network. Indeed, she is currently working in several different positions: in addition to her position at Cisco (a world leader in network, datacenter and collaborative infrastructures), she acts as an Advisor to the new President of the CCI Marseille Provence, and, in 2013, was elected as co-President of the KEDGE Alumni Association in Marseille.
There is a reason she received the "prix de la Femme à l'International": as soon as she received her double French-UK degree from KEDGE Business School, she left Marseille and for the next 10 years studied and worked abroad (USA, England, Italy, Germany). Nathalie learned to speak four different languages fluently and was hired for positions with an international focus: "For 20 years, I worked in the digital field for leading American companies like Intel (Wind River), Oracle (Sun) & Cisco. I started out in marketing and was able to work my way up to managing partnerships, business development, vertical markets, strategy, and innovation. Today, I am heading the transformation of the American giant Cisco, by heading new sales models for cloud computing worldwide", she explains.
What makes her situation really particular, is that she has been managing her international career for the past 12 years while working from home in Marseille. Her team, projects, and partners are spread out across the five continents, and she is used to working both virtually and in person. In parallel to her international degree, she wanted to participate in the economic development of her region and therefore became involved in several projects to help improve Marseille's reputation and influence.
Wanting to further advance her career and challenge her current skills and knowledge, Nathalie enrolled in the Executive Programme at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
