30 years of ESC 1994 Bordeaux: a week-end of emotions and reunions!
Nearly 75 graduates gathered on June 1 and 2 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their ESC 1994 Bordeaux graduating class! And what a memorable celebration it was, in the heart of the magnificent Bay of Arcachon!
🌊 A memorable birthday in the heart of Arcachon
On the weekend of June 1 and 2, 2024, some 75 graduates and accompanying adults from the ESC 1994 Bordeaux graduating class, from all four corners of France and some even from abroad, met up at to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their graduating class. The festive reunion was an ideal opportunity to recall the many memories and strengthen the bonds of friendship forged during their years of study.
⛵️🌟 Saturday June 1: an emotional reunion and discovery of the Arcachon Basin on a private catamaran!
The week-end kicked off in style on Saturday lunchtime atthe "Le Saint-Ferdinand" restaurant facing the port of Arcachon. An excellent lunch gave the graduates a chance to catch up, some of them having not seen each other for 30 years! A moving and unforgettable reunion! And what memories were shared, aided by Year Books, BDE list flyers and other themed T-shirts from the era that some had taken care to bring along and which circulated from table to table. The port of Arcachon soon resounded to the sounds of class anthems and songs... definitely "Sup de Co Campeon"!
In the afternoon, the group boarded the brand-new catamaran TipTopToo, privatized for the occasion, for an unforgettable discovery of the Bay of Arcachon. Just after leaving the harbor, and hoisting the mainsail, the sun (finally) made its appearance, adding to the magic of the setting with breathtaking views of the Bassin. It was a great moment of relaxation and connection, in the different areas of the boat: on the aft deck, some people were re-discovering the world, while on the nets forward, an acoustic guitar resonated to the sound of the Doobie Brothers.
The evening, the highlight of the week-end, took place over a heartycocktail reception at the "Les Gamins des Sables" beach bar in Le Moulleau. Graduates enjoyed an idyllic setting, with another magnificent view over the Bassin and an unexpected but spectacular sunset over the Moulleau jetty. The festivities continued, to the rhythm of the 90s sound, via "skilfully controlled" decibels, to end with a mythical "Lake Connemara", whose lyrics and choreography none of the graduates had forgotten!
👋🏽 Sunday June 2: Breakfast and farewell lunch
Sunday began with breakfast at the hotel, while the more courageous took the risk of an "invigorating" morning swim. Graduates then enjoyed the beautiful town of Arcachon, strolling either along the beachfront promenade or in the magnificent Ville d'Hiver.
Lunch was held at theemblematic "Chez Pierre "restaurant, the perfect setting to conclude this emotionally-charged weekend and strengthen the bonds of friendship between the graduates of this class .
After a menu typical of the South West of France, and at the end of this enchanting two-day interlude, everyone agreed on a shared commitment: not to wait until the next decade to get together again, and above all to strengthen local and regional connections between Promo graduates.
✨ A huge thank you to the organizing graduates!
A huge thank you to Evelyne Manalich Nold and Olivier Nold, who initiated this event. Their energy and perseverance, together with the unique help and efficiency of Mathilde Bougrier, helped create a memorable and unforgettable weekend-end for all participants. ✨
As graduates, we invite you to remain active within the alumni network, by taking part in class anniversaries, afterworks and other events. These moments of sharing and reunion are essential for maintaining and strengthening the bonds forged during your years of study. ✨
