Paris KEDGE Alumni Wine Tasting

In-person – Registration per session or for the year

Registration for in-person Paris KEDGE Alumni Wine Tasting sessions is open!

Sessions will again be held on the KEDGE Business School premises once every two months starting at  7:30 pm. These events, which have been held for more than 20 years now, are led by Muriel Petit, a  professional oenologist, and KEDGE graduate Olivier Mora.  

Each tasting session will be accompanied by dishes that go with the wines presented in that session. 

 


 🍇 Sessions


  • Session 1: Thursday, 20 October 2022, from 7:30 to 10:30 pm: 

    Tour de France - Blind tasting of French appellations

Six wines representative of the various French appellations are to be explored through blind tasting.
A great learning experience for the participants and a chance to test your knowledge. 
 
  • Session 2: Thursday, 15 December 2022, from 7:30 to 10:30 pm: 

    The wines of the festive season and our advice for the best food and wine pairings

Just before the festive season, discover the main French prestige appellations, their wines, and their characteristics ( liquors, Champagne, fine white and red wines from Burgundy, Bordeaux or elsewhere, etc.).
What foods to pair with these wines to have a successful festive meal?
 
  • Session 3: Thursday, 16 February 2023, from 7:30 to 10:30 pm: 

    Port, Maury, Banuyls, and other Naturally Sweet Wines

Discovering how Naturally Sweet Wines are made and the main appellations in France and in the world.
Review of the complete range of Port wines. How are they produced? What are their differences? What foods should be paired with Port and Naturally Sweet Wines?
Tasting and pairing with blue cheese and chocolate. 
 
  • Session 4: Thursday, 20 April 2023, from 7:30 to 10:30 pm: 
    Bordeaux versus Burgundy wines

What are the main differences between Bordeaux and Burgundy wines?
What are the distinctive characteristics of each of these two great regions?
Their differences and similarities? 
 
  • Session 5: Thursday, 15 June 2023, from 7:30 to 10:30 pm: 

    Taste of the holidays: The Grand Tour of Italy

Discover the special properties of Italian wines. What are their characteristics? What are the various and main appellations and grape varieties?
Differences and similarities with French wines.
Blind tastings to try to identify the best-known appellations.

  • Graduates, and external participants
  • No particular level is required

Format and practical information:
  • Sessions will be held in person on the Paris campus
  • Sessions will be conducted in French
  • Each tasting session will be accompanied by dishes
Rates: 
  • You can purchase individual sessions or an annual pack
  • To select several sessions without purchasing the full package, you must choose single session registration and add the additional session option one or several times as needed, depending on the total number of sessions you want. You will then be able to select the desired sessions at the end of the registration process. 

Led by:

Muriel Petit has been an oenologist for many years. She has been a wine and cooking instructor since 1997 for catering professionals and companies. Murial also offers her wine and cooking courses and demonstrations for all audiences (professionals, individuals, adults, and children), as well as for large and small companies, associations, schools, and restaurants.
