KEDGE Bordeaux: Graduates, take part in the Krise Night 2019

On Thursday, December 12, 2019, the KEDGE BORDEAUX campus is organizing a crisis management simulation, and graduates are invited to take part

In the course of their careers, a large proportion of KEDGE's future managers will, one day or another, be confronted with a crisis situation in their company. How can we prepare them to deal with a disaster scenario in a context marked by ever-increasing instabilitý, structurally conducive to crises and ruptures?

Krise Night is an educational simulation designed to reproduce the realities of a crisis situation and its management. In other words, it's an experiential learning experience. The aim is to implement and evaluate the skills acquired during the crisis management module.

Organized by KEDGE Business School, the event is an opportunity for students in the Master 2 "Grande Ecole Program" at KEDGE BORDEAUX to confront a crisis situation based on real cases.

For 6 hours, at night, the students will be at the helm of a crisis center. It's up to them to manage a situation in the area (e.g. an industrial site explosion or employees being taken hostage), which will constantly evolve according to the different developments, while mastering both social networks to avoid "bad buzz", but also pressure from the press and public to preserve the efficiencý and image of their organization.

To supervise the exercise throughout the night, KEDGE is pleased to welcome officers from the Gendarmerie Nationale and the Gironde Departmental Fire and Rescue Service:

  • Lieutenant-Colonel Philippe Esselin (SDIS 33)
  • Major General Michel Pidoux (Gendarmerie Nationale)
  • Brigadier General Patrick Mabrier (Gendarmerie Nationale)

Laurence Le Poder, professor of management at KEDGE, will accompany the students throughout the exercise, which is the culmination of her Crisis Management module.
